Lights out for HTC Universal and Hermes
« Thread Started on Aug 14, 2006, 2:19pm »

In the Developer/Hacker section over at modaco.com, a challenge was posted for someone to come up with a solution to turn off/disable the blinking LEDs on the HTC Hermes and other devices. The winner of this challenge will win a 2GB storage card in the format of their choice.
So far someone has come up with one solution but has not won the challenge.
Here is a qoute for the solution

Quote:
Solution confirmed working for Universal and Hermes. Prophet, Tornado etc. still to be tamed - prize still up for grabs!

Universal / Hermes: CAB install to disable all LEDs, GUI to follow. Reboot required after install. Simply use add-remove to revert back for now!

So if you were looking for a way to turn off the LED lights on your HTC Hermes or Universal then this is for you. As for everyone else keep an eye out on the page for updates as they look for more ways to disable the LEDs on HTC devices. Here is the page: HTC - Lights Out
